Pregnancy
Pregnancy is a very exciting time in a woman's life. But it can also be a
time filled with questions and concerns. Life as you know it is about to
change and a whole new chapter in your life is about to begin. Having
a baby changes everything about you both physical, socially, morally
and everything.
You may begin to suspect that you are pregnant soon after conception
but most women won't experience any symptoms in the early stages of
Pregnancy. Many others may not notice any signs of Pregnancy before
they miss a period.
Some of the symptoms you may experience during your Pregnancy are
the following. If you are pregnant your breast will be tender and swollen
in a similar way they feel before your periods. A tingling sensation will
be felt in the nipples. Once your body adapt to the hormone flow the
tenderness will ease off.
During your early Pregnancy you may urinate more frequently but this will
settle down after the twelfth week. Only to continue later in the Pregnancy
when the womb increases in size and puts more pressure on the bladder and
frequent urination occurs again.
Dark patches may appear on your forehead and checks; this is due to
hormone changes that affect the pigment cells in the skin. It could also be
a side affect of the contraceptive pills. The naval and a line down the
woman's tummy may also darken however, they will fade after Pregnancy.
Food cravings can sometimes be a sign of Pregnancy. Don't rely on this as
a sure symptom it could just be that your body is low in nutrition in some area
but if you have some other symptoms on the list, the chances are that you
are pregnant. Women's Health is important during Pregnancy and it is crucial
that you eat healthy at this time.
Fatigue and tiredness is natural of early Pregnancy. High levels of the hormone
progesterone can make you feel as tired as if you had run many kilometres
and all you have done is your normal everyday chores.
A few weeks into your Pregnancy you may experience morning sickness. But
you may begin to feel nauseated and queasy as early as a couple of days
following conception. This may not just occur in the morning but also through
out the day and night. You may also notice that your sense of taste and smell
changes.
Most of these discomforts go away as your Pregnancy progress. Some women
might not feel any discomfort at all. If this is not your first Pregnancy and you
have been pregnant before you might feel different this time around. Just as
each woman is different so is each Pregnancy.
